  1. 1987

    Seaside Cafe opens

    Rena opens Seaside Cafe next to a popular, established Dad's Place. Kids ask why.

  2. 1992

    Crazy Burger

    Rena sells the business to Mike, who starts Crazy Burger. Guy Fieri visits shortly after, and that sets the stage for decades of success, love, and joy from locals and tourists alike.

  3. 2025

    The doors close

    Covid took its toll, then Gordon Ramsay visits. Crazy Burger closes in November.

  4. Since Nov.

    Renovations underway

    Cleaning and renovations have been going since November, paving the way for the next phase of 144 Boon St.

Who we are

Chris

My mom owned Seaside Cafe. I made her toast and washed dishes in between playing ball at the park. I was Mike's first employee and came with the sale.

I ate at and loved Crazy Burger, and like many of you I was very sad when they closed.

Been working in restaurants my whole life. And I find myself back here after 40 years, doing it again.

Melissa

My lady. Together we've also run Pizza Heaven in East Greenwich since 2013.

We have 3 kids, and unlike me in 1988, they'll all be old enough to work here.
